This is a script/plugin to remove EPG data. My thanks to Birdman for his assistance.
The receiver will restart, so do not run it while recordings are taking place. It is a good idea to uninstall afterwards. The script run is as below.
Bash
#!/bin/sh
# Find all relevant mount-points and delete epg
#
get_mounts() {
mount | awk '$5 ~ "vfat|^ext" {print $3}'
}
echo "Receiver will stop, delete EPG and restart automatically"
sleep 3
init 4
sleep 10
rm -f /etc/enigma2/epg.dat
for mp in `get_mounts`; do
rm -f ${mp}/epg.dat
rm -rf ${mp}/crossepg
done
init 3

The sleep command is there to allow E2 to close. Otherwise the EPG held in RAM could be re-written.
NB: There is a similar process in the System-tools plugin.
