  • Hi all guys ...

    I have my Amiko Alien 2 decoder that is booting ..

    When I press the Power button while I press it, I do not see the option of selecting ENIGMA or SPARK.

    I was connected by null modem cable and I did the procedure I found on the internet but without results.

    Is there a procedure to download uboot and try to retrieve it?

    This is the procedure I did:

    Code
    set bootargs console=ttyAS0,115200 rw ramdisk_size=6144 init=/linuxrc root=/dev/ram0 nwhwconf=device:eth0,hwaddr:00:06:37:04:15:00 ip=192.168.40.83:192.168.40.19:192.168.40.1:255.255.255.0.0:lh:eth0ff stmmaceth=msglvl:0,phyaddr:1,watchdog:5000 bigphysarea=6000
    nboot.i 0x80000000 0 0x00100000 ;bootm 0x80000000

    This is see Help me..... Tks

  • Those bootargs do not look quite correct. Not sure if it was the case here, but I found when cutting and pasting big chunks of text, sometimes a few characters get dropped.

    These are from my env:

    Code
    bootcmd_spark=nboot.i 0x80000000 0  0x00100000 ;bootm 0x80000000
    bootcmd_enigma2=nboot.i 0x80000000 0  0x18000000 ;bootm 0x80000000

    bootargs_spark=console=ttyAS1,115200 rw ramdisk_size=6144 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc nwhwconf=device:eth0,hwaddr:00:80:E1:12:40:69 ip=192.168.0.69:192.168.3.119:192.168.3.1:255.255.0.0:Spark:eth0:off stmmaceth=msglvl:0,phyaddr:1,watchdog:5000 bigphysarea=7000

    bootargs_enigma2=console=ttyAS1,115200 rw root=/dev/mtdblock6 rootfstype=jffs2 init=/bin/devinit coprocessor_mem=4m@0x40000000,4m@0x40400000 printk=1 nwhwconf=device:eth0,hwaddr:00:80:E1:12:40:61 ip=172.100.100.249:172.100.100.174:172.100.100.174:255.255.0.0:Enigma2:eth0:off stmmaceth=msglvl:0,phyaddr:2,watchdog:5000 bigphysarea=6000

    If it still does not boot, maybe the image is corrupt.

    There was an old update which included the uboot code, but I don't recall at the moment the version but I am sure it was posted here.

    BTW - if you change the console to ttyAS0, you can use your terminal to see boot/runtime messages...

    Attached are some files you might find useful. (I never used the uboot bin, so can't say for sure it is correct...)

  • you are not writting the way that you are trying to change from spark to enigma2, so just to remind... power off the receiver, push and keep "ok" button,power on the receiver,wait 5 sec. "up" button for selecting spark,"down" button for selecting enigma.than press once "right" button to boot...

    you can take a look in first minutes of this video

  • Hi

    I can not set the video procedure, my decoder remains with the "boot" sign.

    It stuck after I forced ENIGMA boot directly from SPARK ..

    Is there a procedure for restoring the original boot of the Decoder?

  • Hi joeuser

    I've run your commands but they make a mistake I also tried to fix the commands but nothing You put the mistakes that I have attended to

  • That is funny, I do not remember writing in Italian. :)

    Those were not commands, they were environment variables. You need those set as a minimum to get the front panel buttons to work.

    From a serial terminal type: printenv

    and see what is set. It should look something like:

    What does the terminal show when you hold the "ok" key on boot? It should look like this:

    To set some environment variable you need to use "setenv"

    After setting, you need to "saveenv" to save the settings. You should do this after setting the bootargs and before you enter the boot command.

    Typing "help" or just "?" at the serial command prompt will give you a list of commands you can use.

    So for enigma2,

    If you cut and paste, do only 1 or 2 lines at a time otherwise some characters may get dropped...

  • Hi

    Thanks for the answer but my problem is how to send the various files in the decoder.

    I found a system namely:

    Launch the Hyperterminal and type the loady command at this point by sending the file userfsub.img but after a few hours the file is transferred correctly but the decryption restarts always include the boot prompt.

    I do not know how to proceed, there will be a way ...

    Thanks again for the help ...

  • Hi there

    Thank you for any assistance in advance.

    Any feedback is welcome.

    I have a number of questions which are all separate in nature:-

    1) I have used a number of Terminal programmes.

    I am stuck at input select.

    I cannot get the Amiko Alien 2 to the command prompt.

    I have tried 'ESC to stop autoboot'

    How do you get to the command prompt?

    2) I have managed to load the "u-boot.S25FL016A.bin" file

    This was performed via ymodem as requested by the receiver

    This is the correct size 1024K but the receiver rejected it

    Is this the correct file?

    Is there an alternative?

    3) The image I uploaded:-

    "Bad block table found at page 262080"

    What is this mean?

    4) The image I uploaded:-

    "bad CRC, using the default environment"

    What does this mean?

    5) The image I uploaded:-

    "ident ic do not exist"

    What does this mean?

    Yes, the ESC key does not work - you need to press and hold the menu key while turning on from power switch in back.

    If it does not survive a reboot, maybe your nvram is bad??? After starting up to the terminal, what does "printenv" show?

  • dose it works for 7111 devices ?
