  • Good afternoon all.

    After having a torrid time trying to get the openVIX 5.0.011 image up and running on my (V1) DM800 HD SE I decided to try out the openATV 6 image.

    I've got the image installed have set up Flashexpander on a 16GB USB memory stick.

    At this moment in time I have CCcam 2.1.1 and MGcamd 1.35a installed. (Only CCcam 2.1.1 in use / active)

    CCcam appears to be working without any issues whatsoever.

    However I can't get MGcamd to work at all, I have the necessary in place to enable the receiver to clear subbed channels but despite several attempts it fails to do so.

    I have tried both MGcamd 1.35 and 1.38 but neither will work.

    For your information and after having read up on the openATV image, I have placed the CCcam.cfg, newcamd.list and mg_cfg files into usr / keys.

    I've restarted the receiver and MGcamd serveral times but no joy, as soon as I switch to and start CCcam the channels clear no problem.

    I'd be very gratefull if anyone could advise me on what may be causing this problem.

    Thank you and regards, The Soulman.

    mgcamd can`t read a CCcam.cfg because its for CCcam

    add the c line to cccamd.list

    newcamd.list is for n / cws lines

    use the attached configs for mgcamd

    be aware the server needs to be using cccam 2.0.11 and below to allow a c line to work in mgcamd

    mgcamd and cccam are very old softcams, oscam is the way to go

    oscam configs are attached. convert the c line to a reader and add to oscam.server. Camsconverter, cccam2oscam, mgcamd2oscam

  • Hi Master G and thanks for the reply.

    From what I can gather It would seem that for reasons of stability the server prefers MGcamd to be used.

    To provide you with a little more information there are only Three files contained in the usr / keys folder they are as follows;

    The CCcam.cfg file which looks as is below.

    (I've obviously removed some of the original line and replaced it with the X's)

    The newcamd.list file which looks as is below;

    Apologies for the length of this post but I thought that by providing you with exactly what files are in usr / keys and exactly how they are set out, that would give you the best chance of being able to see if there are mistakes in their structure and therefore be able to advise accordingly.

    Thank you and regards, The Soulman.

  • hey how are you starting mgcamd.

    I had a similar problem were mgcamd would not start from image cam manger but cccam would.

    So I downloaded ts panel and used that to stop and start the cams and it worked

    I think I uninstalled mgcamd and installed fresh from ts panel

  • Why would admin upload a file for you if it was not relevant to your issue? Please try them.

    I have now have the Three files kindly supplied by Master G in usr / keys.

    (No other files in usr / keys)

    As master G suggested, I have placed the C line in the cccamd.list file and the cws line in the newcamd.list file.

    I now find that MGcamd 1.35a works and CCcam 2.1.1 does not.

    For your information.

    mg_cfg has not been altered / edited and is exactly as supplied by Master G.

    The cccamd.list file is as set out as follows;

    #############################LINUXSAT-SUPPORT.COM##############################c: vm.xxxxxxxx.com 41414 xxxxxx-4886 505096 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    The newcamd.list file is set out as follows;

    #############################LINUXSAT-SUPPORT.COM#############################CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300

    CWS = vm.xxxxxxxx.com 41414 xxxxxx-4886 505096 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    (I have obviously removed some text and replaced with the x's but the above Two files are set out as above)

    Perhaps someone can tell me why I now have the exact opposite of what I had before and now have MGcamd 1.35a working and CCcam 2.1.1 not working.

    Thank you and regards, The Soulman.

    • Official Post

    c: vm.xxxxxxxx.com 41414 xxxxxx-4886 505096 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

    A c line doesn`t have 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 on the end, thats for an n line.

    Should be like this:

    C: vm.xxxxxxxx.com 41414 xxxxxx-4886 505096

    Are you using the same user and password on the c line and cws line ? Or do they have different login credentials ?

  • Hi Master G and thank you for your reply.

    Both lines are identical apart from at the beginning of the line.

    CCcam line starts with C:

    MGcamd line starts with cws =

    For your information Master G, I am only attempting to run One softcam at once, not both at the same time.

    Perhaps if I remove the 01 to 14 numbers from the C line in the CCcam.cfg File CCcam 2.1.1 might then work ?

    Regards, The Soulman.

  • Apologies, I meant perhaps remove the 01 to 14 numbers in the ccamd.list file as you said they should not be there.

    I'd just like to know why I now have MGcamd working and CCcam not working which is exactly the opposite of what I had when I made the first post / started the thread.

    Regards, The Soulman.

  • Hi everyone

    I used the OpenAtv 5.3 with MgCam but it started to frezze.
