  • I am new to OScam, but just recieved a viasat card that I try to get working in my DM800se. I have of course installed OScam on my dreambox, but I stuggle to really find a tutorial that can be used. By the way, does any has experience with the new viasat card and if that works in a dreambox.

    There are a lot of OScam examples on the net, but I have doubt what is the minimum to use if I just want to use it in my own box. Do any have some input. I have a card number and a boxid of the box that was included with the card. Guess they are needed

  • The softcam software I downloaded from the build in function in the image, will that not work ?

    I am more thinking about which information is needed in oscam.server, oscam.conf - and maybe other files must be edited with right information

    Yes it will.

    Open oscam.server with notepad++ > add your boxid and save.

    FTP the configs from post #2 to /etc/tuxbox/config.

    Restart oscam.

    Look at the oscam web interface to see if you have entitlements. Or check for any errors in the live log.

    Did he not need a box id Config Creator ? maste G

    I have a card number and a boxid of the box

    He said he had the boxid, so i assumed it didn`t need converted.

    I was waiting for him to say its not working after checking the oscam log, then my next suggestion was going to check the boxid and use the CCcam BoxKey Generator

  • So I did upload the config files in post 2 - my box id serial is 11 characters long and entered them in the boxid converter. The genereted boxkey I then added in the oscam.server and saved. Did restart of cam, but is not working

    So additionally questions
    In which slot must the card be inserted in as there is 2. I have of course tried both, but one less source to get error if I am sure that it must be in

  • Can See if I place it in the upper slot, there is a lot of activity - so guess it is the right place :)

    Under status it say "CARD OK" - and "no entitlements"

    here is the log that it keeps saying2017/12/27 09:11:43 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 restarting decodingrequests after 0 ms with 1 enabled and 2 disabled ecmpids!2017/12/27 09:11:43 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 2 CAID 0940 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 01A4 ANY CHID PMTPID 0744 VPID 07452017/12/27 09:11:44 45B4672D c (ecm) linuxsatsupport (0940@000000/0146/0744/A7:CC25E39D1DC776DAA0D310688E0BC15A:0F06000020): not found (1 ms) by VIASAT2017/12/27 09:11:44 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 restarting decodingrequests after 0 ms with 1 enabled and 2 disabled ecmpids!2017/12/27 09:11:44 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 2 CAID 0940 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 01A4 ANY CHID PMTPID 0744 VPID 07452017/12/27 09:11:45 45B4672D c (ecm) linuxsatsupport (0940@000000/0146/0744/A7:CC25E39D1DC776DAA0D310688E0BC15A:0F06000020): not found (2 ms) by VIASAT2017/12/27 09:11:45 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 restarting decodingrequests after 0 ms with 1 enabled and 2 disabled ecmpids!2017/12/27 09:11:45 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 2 CAID 0940 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 01A4 ANY CHID PMTPID 0744 VPID 07452017/12/27 09:11:46 45B4672D c (ecm) linuxsatsupport (0940@000000/0146/0744/A7:CC25E39D1DC776DAA0D310688E0BC15A:0F06000020): not found (1 ms) by VIASAT2017/12/27 09:11:46 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 restarting decodingrequests after 0 ms with 1 enabled and 2 disabled ecmpids!2017/12/27 09:11:46 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 2 CAID 0940 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 01A4 ANY CHID PMTPID 0744 VPID 07452017/12/27 09:11:47 4FEC313C r (reader) VIASAT [videoguard2] classD3 ins54: no cw --> Tier expired2017/12/27 09:11:47 45B4672D c (ecm) linuxsatsupport (0940@000000/0146/0744/A7:90E147776365DF2FB0F2704F99C4DDAA:0F06000020): not found (344 ms) by VIASAT2017/12/27 09:11:47 4FEC313C r (reader) VIASAT [videoguard2] linuxsatsupport emmtype=global, len=41 (hex: 0x29), cnt=1: written (53 ms)2017/12/27 09:11:47 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 restarting decodingrequests after 1 ms with 1 enabled and 2 disabled ecmpids!2017/12/27 09:11:47 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 2 CAID 0940 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 01A4 ANY CHID PMTPID 0744 VPID 07452017/12/27 09:11:48 45B4672D c (ecm) linuxsatsupport (0940@000000/0146/0744/A7:90E147776365DF2FB0F2704F99C4DDAA:0F06000020): not found (2 ms) by VIASAT2017/12/27 09:11:48 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 restarting decodingrequests after 0 ms with 1 enabled and 2 disabled ecmpids!2017/12/27 09:11:48 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 2 CAID 0940 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 01A4 ANY CHID PMTPID 0744 VPID 07452017/12/27 09:11:49 45B4672D c (ecm) linuxsatsupport (0940@000000/0146/0744/A7:90E147776365DF2FB0F2704F99C4DDAA:0F06000020): not found (1 ms) by VIASAT2017/12/27 09:11:49 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 restarting decodingrequests after 0 ms with 1 enabled and 2 disabled ecmpids!2017/12/27 09:11:49 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 2 CAID 0940 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 01A4 ANY CHID PMTPID 0744 VPID 07452017/12/27 09:11:50 45B4672D c (ecm) linuxsatsupport (0940@000000/0146/0744/A7:90E147776365DF2FB0F2704F99C4DDAA:0F06000020): not found (2 ms) by VIASAT2017/12/27 09:11:50 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 restarting decodingrequests after 1 ms with 1 enabled and 2 disabled ecmpids!2017/12/27 09:11:50 45B4672D c (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 trying to descramble PID 2 CAID 0940 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 01A4 ANY CHID PMTPID 0744 VPID 0745

  • OK - Just restartet my box totally and now it works with my local card. Great - thank you for all the support

    Next step will to get my 2nd dreambox connect to the card- but will see what I can find on this

  • I am in the same situation as the OP. I received a new (black) viasat card (and box).

    After reading here, I dusted off my old viasat box (Pace DS230NV) and tried to activate the card.

    This sort of worked. I mean I did get picture on some obscure channels, but not f.ex. TV3/TV3+.

    I get the following message on screen:

    You are not autherized to watch this channel on this receiver. Wrong smartcard for this receiver.

    Your STB ID is [0210xxx], your card ID is [0171xxx].(14)

    I figured, I would try the card in my VU+ Solo2, which already has Oscam-emu running.

    I created the boxid from the old (11-digit) STB-ID by chopping off the last digit, converting to hex and adding '0' to make it 8 hex digits.

    I cleared /etc/tuxbox/config, uploaded the files in post #2, edited boxid and started oscam.

    As you can see in the attached log, oscam reads the card fine and also lists entitlements, but nothing clears, and I get the error:

    2017/12/28 18:47:15 3455E92F r   (reader) VIASAT [videoguard2] classD3 ins54: no cw --> Card needs pairing/extra data

    which would imply incorrect boxid.

    Do I need to activate the card in my new HD box (Arris DZS3000NV)?

    Since that box only has a "small" card reader, I have to punch out the chip from the card to insert it into the box.

    The real challenge will then be to "reassemble" the card, so I can use it in my Solo2. :huh:

    And will the card work when paired to a HD box?

    TIA
