  • Hi

I am looking to upgrade from my dm800se. I only need 1 sat tuner but 2 could be good. Would like to lots of options of images.

A good sensitive tuner. Good plugin support

Don't use 4k but may be good for future

  • Best value for money box would be Vu+Zero - very stable with openVIX and lots of plugins. If you want to play around a lot, then you should consider receiver with more powerful CPU. I own both Zero and Solo4k - in my use, Zero is doing everything what Solo 4k does, except 4K, but in my opinion 4K enigma 2 boxes do not make any sense because you cannot watch premium content at the moment and probably in near future as well using softcams.

  • Best value for money we'd say the Formuler F4 Turbo, great package with loads of accessories and excellent Quality:
Formuler F4 Turbo, lots of image support. OpenViX, OpenATV, OpenPLi + more..

I recomend the Vu+ Solo2 its a good fast stable reciver for a good price. Install OpenBlackhole in the flash and mount a usb stick

Then use OpenMultiboot and test your way trough images. There are many good images for this reciver.

It also have internal HDD several usb ports, 2 Common interface and 2 softcam slots

There are also several images for this reciver with support for CI+ still out there

4K reciver there is is only one choice, go for the Vu+Uno4kSE but as written above no 4K channels to watch about the free channels and some demo

Yes there is Viasat UltraHD and a Canal+ UHD but none of them sends 24/7

Use your money on an HD reciver for now and the 3 choices above is very good budget recivers

In my opinion Mut@nt HD51 is the best option with best price and specs and speed. I am using it since 11 months. No problem at all.

  • the best for the value now is vu+zero 4k as it supports both 265hevc and multistream the most of stb in market doesn't support these tech, but why did I mention them ?? well, if y have a good IPTV subscription now top level iptv providers offer tv channels with 265.h tech instead of 264.H, to watch a 1080p channel with 264H y need atleast 12mb/s stable cnx but with 265H y only need 4MB/s cnx to watch with no freez at all ... and for multistream technology VU+ZERO 4K comes with the new generation of tuner DVBS2/2X instead of DVBS2 tuner .. the dvbs2X tuner supports multistream technology witch you can catch the hidden frequencies in my satellites such as french and italian DTT channels at Eutelsat W5 thats something other stbs can never dream of and all the channels are for free except mediaset premium package
