Hello,
Pardon my ignorance, but I'm unable to imagine use cases for twin tuner receivers like this: https://www.zgemma.co.uk/zgemma-h.2s
Why not simply use a DiSEqC switch to get multiple DVB-S inputs to the receiver? What am I missing?
Regards

In a simplified explanation.
If you only have 1 tuner you can only record a different program on the same transponder group.
i.e
if you are watching bbc1, you cannot record itv.
But you will be able to record bbc2, because its on the same transponder.
If you have 2 tuners they are independent, so you can watch bbc1 and record itv.
Same thing goes for Picture in Picture. (PIP)
1 tuner, you can only view other channels on the same transponder.
2 or more tuners, you can view what ever you like in the PIP.
Ah okay. Got it!
if you look at something like king of sat.
It will show you the transponder grouping

You will be able to find what channels are group to which transponders.
Is it possible while receiver is playing one channel on tv, someone else to watch another channel from different transponder on a tablet or pc?
