Dual FBC tuners vs traditional Dual DVB S2 tuners advice Please?

Looking for advice to the above question please guys. Let me explain the reason for the question. I have a Vu Ultimo4k receiver with 2 Dual DVB-S2 FBC tuners installed. Now I use a certain very reliable football site for obtaining the channel frequencies to live sports events ( only channel frequencies, not actual access to the events). Now when I find a channel I don`t have in my bouquets list, I`ll do a scan of the frequency to get it. But I find 99% of the time I get nothing from the scan. I know some of the time it`s probably my location. But most of the time I know if that frequency is correct I should be getting the channel. There is even times when I have the channel but it isn`t the frequency the site has provided. Now because I have FBC tuners I believe this is the reason I can`t do a blindscan? Would anyone recommend that I buy Traditional Dual DVB-S2 tuners so I can do a blindscan and see if I can find these frequencies that my box seems unable to recognise?

What dish size are you using ??

Most of the feeds are very weak, you also need a up to date sat.xml to have any chance of finding them

Yeah I`m gonna buy the standard DVB-S/S2 tuner just so I can do the blindscan.

Its whatyou have in your satdish that decide how the tuners are working. Just because they are have FBC support does not mean that you are using FBC.

You must have SatCR LNB tou use that function but i am guessing that yoy have regular DVB-S2 LNB and therfore you would have the same problem

with blind scan even if you where to change your tuners.

There is a known problem with BlindScan for the moment with all 4K recivers but mostley the Vu+ recivers its the drivers for arm based enigma2

who is the problem so until that is fixed you have to dust of one of your old boxes and do a blindscan

By hte way is a funny name since its lokking like its doing just what its name says ;)

Yes, blindscan on these 4k receivers is not working on most.
That's hardware blindscan. Have you tried a software blindscan satellites.xml file?

Whlie we're on it. Hardware blindscan would only pick up active transponders. Correct?
Requiring a rescan, which can take hours.

The box I linked to further up has hardware blindscan and will find transponders and then scan the transponders of your choice for channel's

A few YouTube videos about looks like will take minutes rather than hours .. should have the box tomorrow hopefully

I would settle for "tuner rolling" on my H7 if I could find an appropriate one that would fit and drivers to go with it.
They're cheap enough. Finding one with the right connector and compatibility is the hard part.
Not much plug and play tuner support out there. Kind of a gray area.

Jargon, proper tech names, clearing up notions, even the ones that are in E2 may be wrong and so on...

Main thing is, one gets to learn what new tech can do, its advantages and disadvantages...

Maybe new recs will have proper blindscan - we'll see when they come out soon...

P.S. In PurE2 one has special FNC plugins by Franc: LiveFeeds-FNC and even WAZZup-FNC, which may help...:cool1:
