I now have oscam working (internally)
xxxxx for Newcamd
xxxxx for cccam
This might sound a dumb question but I have 2 ports set up as above . How do I configure router for external access as in you can only enter 1 internal port number on FTP

Ther is No dumb questions.
First of all FTP have nothing to do with what your attempting.
Login to your router as admin and go to port forwarding.
This can be found under diffrent menus depending of what router brand you are using.
When you find the settings menu for port forwarding you enter the external portnumber for each port you want to use and
point it to the internal ipadress and port for your Oscam Device
Save and reboot your router and it should work just fine
Which router do you have ?
If there is no option for separate ports add a port range, for example port 12000 - 12001 (12000 newcamd - 12001 cccam)
I'm using Asus Ac68u
Is the internal port the listening address that Cccam and MgCamd are on oscam?
yes, the internal port is the port you define in oscam.conf for newcamd or cccam protocol.
local ip - servers internal ip address
local port - newcamd or cccam ports
setup the port for cccam first then click add on the virtual server list. Now do the same thing again for newcamd port.
after you make your changes in the router go to canyouseeme, org and test the ports to see if they are open.
If you get an error you may need to reboot the router or you havn`t configured the ports properly.
Thanks I understand the router setup, do i also have to open the ports on the ubuntu server?
Am I correct in thinking you cannot test c: line you've created on your own network using your external IP address?
do i also have to open the ports on the ubuntu server
no, just on the router.
you cannot test c: line you've created on your own network using your external IP address?
correct, you must use the servers internal ip address (ip you opened in the router)
don`t use your external ip address for peers. Setup and use a dynamic hostname fron noip.org or dyndns.org
unless your external ip address is static you will need a dynamic hostname.
there should be an option in the router somewhere to set your dynamic hostname.
