How to install curl on dream-elite

I was advised to give this command

opkg install curl

I think it is not good for the dream elite.

I just tried the command you told me and I got this error message:

root@dm920:~# dpkg -i curl

dpkg: error processing archive curl (--install):

cannot access archive: No such file or directory

Errors were encountered while processing:

curl

What did I do wrong?
