  • Hello to All!

I need your help: i have installed

"enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images_11.672-emu-r785-arm+mips_all.ipk" on my Vuzero 4K with OpenATV 7.3; now I'm not able to remove it (for me not working). As it is not shown in remove plugins

    How canI do?

Also help me how I can install old Oscam version 11581 ???

    Need help urgently

  • Search in this extension usr/ bin for the file with the name OSCam11.672-r798 , if it exists, delete it

Search in this extension etc/ init.d for the file with the name softcam.oscam11.672-r798 , if it exists, delete it

    Then restart the device

to install old Oscam version 11581 Do the opposite,

move the Oscam 11581 bin files to extension usr/ bin and give them permission 755

move the softcam.oscam11581 files to extension etc/ init.d and give them permission 755

    Then restart the device

  • Why don't you just install oscam-emu from openatv 7.3 feed

  • He wants to install an old version of Oscam11581 that is not available in the image feed currently

  • yes but probably because he knows that version was working but so should the ones from feed at least they will install correctly unlike the one he last tried because the ipk is named wrong so was not available in plugins to uninstall.

  • These are his choices and his point of view, and we are trying to help him achieve them

  • Ihave Ipk file of this old Oscam version which I am not able to install it

Can you send bin and files where I could transfer them as I have only Ipk file of this old version

  • After performing the first step delete oscam11.672-r798 , you will be able to install the Ipk file of this old Oscam version

Or unzip the old file of Oscam by program 7-zip You will find the required files to second step

  • After performance first step when I try to install old Oscam 11581 through Ipk file it shows the msg "Not downgrading package enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images on root from 11.672-emu-r798-arm+mips to 11.581-emu-r798-arm+mips."

  • If you cannot unzip the old file of Oscam Attach it here and I will unzip it and give you the required files because

they are not available to me

  • that is because there are still files in \var\lib\opkg\info from oscam11.672-r798

    you could try

    Code
    opkg remove enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images_11.672-emu-r785-arm+mips_all

  • He can search in \var\lib\opkg\info for it if it exists, delete it

  • var\lib\opkg\info

    I found following files

    Which should be deleted

    enigma2-softcams-os...m-all-images.control

    enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images.list

    enigma2-softcams-osc...-all-images.postinst

    enigma2-softcams-os...m-all-images.postrm

    enigma2-softcams-os...m-all-images.preinst

    enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images.prerm

Kindly help what should I do now

  • delete all of them and there may also be an entry in

    var\lib\opkg status file

  • Shall I delete status file in var/lib/opkg???

  • no you do not delete status file you need to edit it and remove package entry for

    enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images_11.672-emu-r785-arm+mips_all

or post status file as archive and i can remove entry if you are not sure what to do.

  • FeedLover , just some more info in case for any more faulty ipk installations that dont show in plugins to uninstall.

    via terminal type

    opkg list-installed

this will give you list only packages that you have installed. then you can find name of plugin so you can do

    opkg remove

it may return example for me:

    enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam-emu-ipv4only - 11788-git10738+dd929d2-r0

but to remove you would just enter

    opkg remove enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam-emu-ipv4only

    hopfully this helps
