Give us some feedback when you get it set up and will it have FBC tuners?
What do you mean FBC tuners are standard in gigablue quad 4k i.e. built in

Just a note that anyone ordering of sk.de i knew there was no tax paid on the product in germany. for reference when the box comes into the uk via parcel force i have to pay vat plus a small admin charge. This works out at £58.00 extra. When i phoned wos they had no stock and they told me the price would be about £310 but with the extra tuner but i would not be available until january. So if you get an extra tuner and no vat to pay wos would be the better price. I suspect thought vat might be on that price though. My box from germany did not have the extra tuner. I will pay the charges and get it this week.
That sounds ok with extra tuner my total was £348.81 but i also added 1TB ssd with + tuner
but paid vat and shipping -

If wos are doing them at £310 including extra tuner then to me they would be the better choice. Mine is arriving tomorrow as there was no one in today to receive it.

I was very disappointed with the first version of this STB, ( IE the NON pro one) and returned it after 3 weeks of unresolved issues.
What i find rather amusing is there is already a long list of issues on the ATV forum, very similar to the issues i had years ago on the first version.
There appears to be new driver released today that have hopefully addressed some of the issues.
Im interested in feedback from users that have the STB, im mostly interested in its Blind scan capabilities for now.
I believe there is a new dvbSX pluggable tuner that is meant to support Blind scan (assuming the FBC tuners don't ? ) - credit Captain for the info below:
The new GigaBlue Quad 4K Pro offers the possibility of installing an additional optional tuner. There are two tuner options available:
A dual DVB-S2X tuner with blind scan and multistream support
A dual DVB-C/T2 tuner
The new V2.x tuners are only suitable for the Quad 4K Pro.
The first generation tuners (V0.x and V1.x) are not compatible with the Quad 4K Pro.
How do you recognize the first and second generation tuners:
DVB-S2X tuner comparison:
The differences are as follows:* Dimensions: The physical size of the V0.x/V1.x tuners is different from the V2.x tuners.
* LNBP IC: The LNBP IC (Low Noise Block Powering Integrated Circuit) used in the V0.x/V1.x tuners is different from that used in the V2.x tuners.
Has anyone actually seen this pluggable dvbsx tuner for sale anywhere ??

@jenseneverest i don't think the new tuner is available yet i believe this is the hold up on some deliveries. I was told no stock until at least the end of december or even mid january. I chose to have mine shipped (should arrive today) without the optional tuner.

So near but so far, my box turned up at he house with a courier and the mrs did not answer the door quick enough. Now its due again tomorrow. :(

My box has arrived

So I've taken a look at my box for a few moments today. Out of the box the build quality seems really good. Its a nice receiver smaller than a solo 4k and much bigger than a qviart dual see pictures. Its has an external power supply with euro plug but the best bit is its on a figure 8 cable so can easily be swapped for a uk lead. I did notice the nice little ssd drive pull out just like my vu solo. The remote is a good size but does not have any chrome bits on it like pictures i have seen on other remotes. A nice little touch is the feet have little chrome bezzles around them. I have more picture if any one wants to see them. Its now back in its box to be wrapped up until Christmas day.

Will the receiver work with USB tuners on the UK?

Would the box not need the drivers within the software to be able facilitate the use of a usb tuner? What benefit would you get from a usb tuner over a plugin tuner as 2 x can be added to the box i believe.

Availability, price, versatility.
If someone bought a satellite pnp tuner for blindscan surely they should be able to use a terrestrial tuner using USB? What if someone wants to record from more than two frequencies?
Of course the tuner drivers need to be installed. However, the gigablue drivers for the previous 4k receivers used to work with USB tuners. When they upgraded the framework they use for drivers, the USB tuners stopped working.
Apparently they still work in Germany.

Hence my trepidation, they would fix one issue and break 2 others. IMO it is over priced anyways.
Do you know who will manufacture this dvbs2x (blindscan) tuner? silabs or hilsicon?
Not sure, the image available is not good enough to get any chipset details.

Hello
Can a DVB-C/T2 USB tuner be installed in this receiver?

Hello
Can a DVB-C/T2 USB tuner be installed in this receiver?
you should be able to with most e2 receiver's, but that will depend on drivers for said tuner being available.
Will need feedback from users with the STB to be sure
