I made a simple plugin to switch backt to a service after given time (to avoid commercials). I used source from WerbeZapper Plugin, the timer didn´t work always in original version, fixed, tested on py2/py3

you watch something on one channel, commercials begin. you zap to another channel(s), you stay there, the zap timer will switch you back to the start channel you invoked zap timer after given time

As I wrote I used the sources from Werbezapper plugin from 2007 (werbung means commercials on german) not sisko´s source, I named it like sisko did. ZapTimer to sound english

I used source by ritzMo, I just made few changes and named it ZapTimer

there is the same plugin on git with more features

a minimal version I use myself, you won´t see it in the plugins nor extensions, it can be launched only from channel selection context menu (where it actually belongs), open channel selection, press menu and you´ll see it.
