Hello, i own a clone DM800HD PVR sim 2.01 and very satisfied. Because the box is old i get me an original dreambox. But i compare the settings when pressing the on/off button and put on the dreambox power. See attachment. Can someone tell me if this can be an origninal dreambox or is it a clone? Because it looks like a twin. Does an original dreambox or clone have te same look? Thanks in advanced!! And if they have the same look, how can i easy see if the dreambox is original or clone? See attachment (left: original dreambox - right : clone).

You need to look at the Sim card, to know, this is the best way.
You could also see, but not always, when it boots on the LCD the number shown of the SSL and any message on LCD.

It could be a estar clone, and there is no modem... see board/connection.
but you should take a photo of the sim card, as it could be also a Sim 1.0, below of tuner,

It's a e-star sim, so you have to find e-star images for DM800HDpvr, or replace the sim by one that is what you need (Sim2 2.01 or 2.10, Sim Ferrari or Sim Japhar... or if you find an original one A2P).

Thx TS! So i got me a clone box with e-star sim ssl#84. Then i should think that the following OpenPLI image will do:

You have a lot of sims, the TUX are for DM800HDpvr with original image.
The 2.10 is for DM800HDse Sim2 clone and 2.01 is for DM800HDpvr clone Sim2.
The estar can be DM800HDpvr or DM800HDse.
The Japhar is reprogrammable, so you can use it if you flash it properly with any DMM clone box, like DM600pvr, DM800HDpvr, DM800HDseV1, DM800HDseV2, DM500HDv1, DM520HD/DM525HD, DM900UHD.

if you have an old soft on the box...it must be done in a way that perfectly erases both the flesh memory and the Sim, very important, to do this you must do those steps if you want it to work on the first intervention, 1* the Sim with the ssl 84 that makes the way for the new soft (addresses) then 2* soft that will accept without any problem and the 3* again ssl 84 that completes the enabling of the soft to recognize the Sim when starting the box.
