picons come from your provider. If you don't have picons. Your provider hasn't added the picon urls to the API data.
You cant manually add them.

enigma2 can only display png picons. If your provider has changed them to jpg or svg then they wont get shown.
If you want to private message my your line details I can look and see what picons are in your data if you want.
I can tell you in 2mins. -

This is not the case for Vix/PLI and any other images who adopted the code. svg files can be used but there is a loss in performance.

Well not in my plugin because I use pillow library for the downloading and converting.
And that cant use svgs.
