any reports on what this firmware is like. stable, any features, etc? cheers Has there been an update since May?

Anyone got any pointers on how to install this to the HDD? i assume i can use the Pen version, i have installed Hyperion to the HDD before but this was in a .*.tar.gz format where this one is a img file .
I have my partitions setup and i have also configured duo boot for it, so i have freebox loader for this image, just a bit lost as to the install of it. I dont want it in NAND as i have Nebula Zero there and its nice and stable.

I must say it is very stable - 8.3 is the latest version. Features are very limited to say the least, no plugins repo set on the image at all, but as I noted here;

you can install plugins manually, either using IPK, or for some IPKs that won't install (reports as wrong architecture as for mipsel) you can unpack the IPK and send the folder to the plugins folder - this worked well for CoolTVGuide 6.4.0 version for OE 1.6

I took the plunge and installed openpli 8.3 in Nand last night, your correct that there are no plugins at all. two questions i have that you may be able to answer or point me in the right direction.
I set the box up and am running oscam, i have filled in all my details of my local server that it is pulling the codes from but for some reason every time i go to a scrambled channel it is just a black screen with thwe info bar, the infor bar states that it has been decoded, ND symbol goes green and i can see my nline reference but no pic, FTA are fine, web interface to oscam shows all good with my reader etc. I have tried the different oscam versions under softcam, but no difference.
second question is where do i get the ipk for cross epg or cooltv guide and also auto-bouquets, i`m not looking for any other plugins as i want to keep the box simple as possible, just to watch TV, record and a EPG, nothing else.
Do you think there would be sufficient memory in Nand to do this ?

Re oscam configuration, Have you checked on Webif to see what is going on? Is it showing that the channel is being decoded when you look at the logs? May be a dvbapi issue. Now as for the plugins - try these.

The CoolTVGuide plugin needs to be unpacked and installed manually -as the file structure is set out as
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/ you can just send to the root - alternatively browse to the extensions folder of the zip file and copy to the same folder on your receiver

Autobouquets - unzip and place in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/ and for autobouquets to work you need to change permissions to 755 on
autobouquets_e2.sh, autobouquets and autolamedb

and you also need to unpack and place dvbsnoop file in /usr/bin (again the structure is laid out so can just copy to root of your receiver)

how can i find out, which version i need? pen / nand....

Sorry to jump on an old thread but I think I am having simualar issues my OpenPli Image 8.6 doesn't have the option to download but Im looking to download an EMU to clear my line - Oscam 4709 sci0 unstable does anyone know where I can get it from please?

Also I am unable to connect to the oscam server to see whats going on. The port isn't open as not only can I not connect via http but I cant telnet to it so its defo not open :(

Thanks, i have installed the image and all is good apart from one slight problem, when im watching a channel, the audio seems to go, randomly, the picture is fine but the audio foes, i have played around with the DTS/acs setting it to on and off but it still happens later on, this happens regardless of FTA or sly channel, any ideas?
