  • Saorsat is broadcast in the Ka band, where aas all the other stuff at that position is broadcast on the Ku band which is a lower frequency that is used in the Ka band.

The Ka band frequency broadcast of Eutelsat Ka-Sat for Saorsat is 20185 with Left handed circular polarisation. The rest of the channels on 9e from Eutelsat 9a (Ex hotbird 7a) start off at 11727 and go to 12437 with linear polarisation ( Horizontal and vertical)

The Ka band lnb just doesn't go low enough down the band to pick up Ku band signals. The Ku band signals are also linear polarisation where as the higher frequency Ka signals use Circular polarisation.

You basically need to change your lnb if you want to view anything else form the 9e position. As far as i know there is at this moment in time no lnb that can do both Ku and Ka band.
