  • Hi All, according to lyngsat, some transponders have a C/N of 5.5 and others 6.5 etc, my question is why can i tune a particular transsponder with a C/N of 5.5 but not others of the same?
    For example:10873 V 27500 fec 3/4 i get a 60% signal with agc 99% and ber 0% but on 10723 H 29900 fec 3/4 i get 0% signal

    Any help appreciated.

    cheers

  • I'm pretty sure the lower the figure the easier that tp will lock.

Lyngsat didn't mention which is strong or which is weak. It is telling minimum amount of signal needed to lock it (if at all signal is strong enough). In my view it isn't of much use as our receivers are going to lock something when it can.
