HI guys
I am flashing my box as we speak following all the instructions and using the files uploaded.
My problem is that it is extremely slow, like 1% per hour, i have left my pc on overnight ad when i woke up it was on 9%
any deas what could be causing this?
I am using a usb to serial cable and rs232 cable.

serps87 I would check the setting in the device manager of your PC you may need to increase the baudrate of your serial device

ranj try using this FW instead make sure you do full all bootloader & SW

wonkypea
Do you need to flash it or do you just need to update the FW ?

Thanks very much for your reply hopper
managed to get it done by using an old pc, the usb to serial converter was not good at all, wasn't transferring data correctly
so a tip for anyone having problems make sure you use a pc/laptop with an rs232 connection.
Also another thing is that I have 2 boxes and on the other i was getting a version mismatch when trying to upgrade.
I found this on another forum so i am not taking credit for it at all. credits to soupdragon
QuoteRight time for an update, I got much the same error message as before and have determined that the problem is that the bootloader has been upgraded in that firmware to version 1.0.7 and all other firmware is still using the 1.0.4 bootloader.
The toolbox wont let you flash a firmware if the bootloader is older than the one on the stb hence why I got the error.
My solution was to extract the 1.0.7 bootloader and patched it into a working 1.0.4 image. I used a lavatronics image and produced a firmware with a 1.0.7 loader and the lavatronics software inside. This was flashed via rs232 without any problems and I was able to boot up the box.
I then downloaded via the box the new lavatronics firmware (bootloader+ all software) via their ftp in the box and it successfully downgraded the bootloader back to 1.0.4.
I don't know if that firmware Estimadarocha posted bricked anybody elses combo box or if it was just a bad download on my part but if it has here is a link to my modified firmware with the 1.0.7 loader if it helps anybody else.
hope this helps you guys as much as it did me
cheers

Hello to All!
I have an Amiko mini HDT2/C box. I updated a wrong SW and my box won't start... I got the message to reinstall the original SW. I tried it many times on the way from this thread, but without any result:
"Using Toolbox for Amiko 3612 by Dekolte
Click Loader Amiko
Browse for the Amiko mini FW
Select the correct Serial port
Upgrade type all SW + Bootloader
Mode setting Upgrade
Click next
* NOW TURN ON YOUR AMIKO *Give it a few seconds it should start flashing....."
I have RS232-jack cable. When I unplug it, I got the error message, but if its connected, nothing happens... The update won't start...
Do you have any suggestion, what can I try to solve my problem?
Thanks in advance.

Is your box off when you run this software
-
I turn it on once test serial port status appears
-
Are you using usb to serial or an internal serial port
-
dual serial pci card, like i said i can connect via putty and ht but the loader doesnt appear to want to start the data transfer
-
Instead of trying to update see if you can pull down the info from the box
