Enigma2 boxes can run iptv using m3u files
Mag254 can run iptv channels using m3u files
Then I see some advertising mag portals which are more expensive
Whats the difference between using a m3u file on a mag 254 and a mag portal?
Are channels better quality using aportal rather than m3u file?

M3u files posted on the site are free.
They don't normally last long to be honest but new files are posted daily.
Normally anyone offering mag portals for cash are iptv payservers.

They may even be using the same files, just charging you for it.

The only problem I have is my internet speeds
I have 6mb down and an even more miserable 0.32 upload
I wonder will the speeds be quick enough, there will only be 1 house using the m3u file
If your trying to stream outside your network, 0.32mb upload probably won't cut it.

An android box is inexpensive and easy to use,even for kids....
Check out the MARS box which is basic take out of box (android with sat tuner) and use or the wetek(android with 2 tuners) which is more flexible ...
Why make your own portal when you could just give a box as an early Christmas pressie and set it up for them...

I doubt you got KODI, For E2 images it´s kodidirekt which is a modded version for e2 but is limited in the hw/sw of the stb itself..
Amazon fire box is far superior to the stick version apparently..
