Why would you think that the post wouldn't be here for long?????

Because you specifically seem to have a problem with my posts and usually delete them soon after they appear on the forum. I simply posted here to give my own views of this receiver that I bought out of my own hard earned cash (In fact I bought two of them, one for me and one for a family member).

I fully appreciate the wetek sponsor taking his time to respond to my posts but the rest of this thread has descended into a farce, as usual. If I had been the one to post such crap in another thread you would have deleted my posts strait away but as it's your mate stevejo it stays. (I will likely be banned again now I have voiced my opinion so I wont bother coming back here.).

    1:Batteries £1 x 10 poundland
    2:Converter plug £1 poundland
    3: Hdmi cable £1 poundland
Maybe you should get the fork out your sugar bowl and not moan about sweety money ,postage is free box is cheap service is good , contact them

Thats not the point, those items should be supplied as standard, especially the batteries and plug converter, every single other piece of electrical equipmet I have bought for the past 10 years has had those included from E2 receivers to 3D TV's, even the amazon fire TV boxes I bought a few weeks ago came with batteries.

The fact these dont is just poor on the retailers part.

The remote feels quite well built and fits in the hand nicely but it suffers badly from lag, multiple times while scrolling through various menus the remote continues to go on it's merry little way for 5 or 6 clicks, if it was not for the air mouse feature it would easily be a total rite off in my opinion.

No doubt this post won't stay here long but so far I am not impressed with the wetek play box I received.

    1. Does not come with batteries for the remote, Had to buy those my self.
    2. No euro to uk plug converter, had to rob one from one of my e2 boxes.
    3. The supplied HDMI cable is extremely poor quality, in fact this one does not work at all, I had to rob one from my Solo2, I even tested the cable on the Solo2 and it does not work at all.

I have not even gotten around to testing the unit yet but so far I feel badly let down by the poor quality control and the fact that they scrimped on simple things like a set of batteries and a euro to uk plug. These things you would expect any reputable retailer to supply with the receiver free of charge especially the plug converter seeing as this unit is being used in the uk.

    2) Whats the best image for Cloud iBox 2 Plus SE? OpenPLi, Balck-Hole, OpenATV,OpenVIX...or other?

    Thankx
    PL

There is no such thing as ViX support for these ****ty little clones, the ViX images you do find have been hacked to pieces from other receivers and run like a bag of crap.

well honestly i think you made good purchase, i was little bit researching and i see VU+ use same Availink tuner and demodulator combination, WeTek DVB-S2 Twin tuner module cost 10 eur, while VU+ one in germany around 50 eur. For me 40 eur is big money

Anyway i am prepairing streaming tutorial for wetek play at openelec, as i found that wetek can be used as iptv streamer in combination of MuMuDVB and udpxy plus oscam

Frankly I would be amazed if I even get the time to unbox it to be honest. I work close to 80 hrs a week and in my free time I help out with a local hunt.

Hey but on a serious note Its good for the forum whats good for members and the more folk come here the more Wos and Wetek will sell combined hobbyists want the best of both worlds

I personally Have nowt against the wetek, they look to be a decent enough box although I am and always will be a E2 user. I may have bought one my self if I had not just bought two Amazon Fire TV boxes less than a fortnight ago, Just cant justify the expense of another box to sit ontop of the other 9 I already have in my dev room. Hell I dont even watch TV at home these days.

No point showing that Wetek has totally got your boys noses right out of joint , this isnt the Forth Reich here ,why be so anal about one small thing

I have easeus partition master how do I Ext3 if you can tell me many thanks for your time and help

Just format it to fat32 and let the image convert it to EXT3 or better still EXT4 for better compatibility.

So apart from using the flash memory to store them when making a backup for others to use and so it can be posted here with picons included what would you suggest????

I personally don't care where you store them, but you know the Duo has a very low amount of flash to start with and the BH image is not exactly streamlined it self, those and the extra plugins being installed are going to hinder the very people you are trying to cater for with the backup. After all most of the users who use these types of images do so because they frankly dont have a clue how to set one up them selves so when they encounter a issue related to low memory they are going to be strait back here for help.

you are frankly just causing a unnecessary problem for your self and any potential user this way. All of your backups include your own download server so why not just leave the picons on there and let the user choose weather to install them or not, instead of taking away their valuable flash ?.

There are picons already installed in this backup for 28e buddy..... you will find them by using a FTP program and going to usr/share/enigma2/picon

If you prefer to use a usb stick for your picons then mount one and store them in media/usb......

Silly idea taking up the very limited and valuable flash on the Duo with picons in my opinion, no issue on boxes with more flash like the Duo2 and Solo2 etc but a daft idea on a Duo.

taken from the second paragraph of the 2.0.4. image on here "Solo and Duo only:
The 1920x1080 framebuffer support has required extra Ram usage. For this reason the old Solo and Duo models do not have enough free ram to run the curent images with these new features."

That is complete and utter nonsense, the solo and duo can run the 1080 frame buffer just fine and do in ViX.

Also remember you wont have access to ABM with the BH image so if you use ABM to generate your channel lists you will have to use LraiZers AB 28.2 east plugin instead.

I am not sure if you can use the new SNP formatted picons with BH, as I am not sure if they have taken up the changes we made to allow images to use these, I know Pli did but not sure about BH.

    Just delete them!

Fairly pointless answer don't you think ?. or were you attempting to be funny ?.

Recordings are not touched when you reflash a receiver, unless you choose to initialize the HDD for what ever reason. Now I personally do not use BH but if you were moving to another OE-A or PLI based image you could copy over your timers files too.

    1. Place enigma into sleep mode using a TELNET session and the "init 4" command (minus the "")
    2. FTP into your receiver and navigate to /etc/enigma2/
    3. Copy both the timers.xml file and the autotimers.xml file to your desktop.
    4. issue the "init 3" command to reboot enigma.

Once you'r new image is setup simply follow the above steps again placing the timers.xml file and autotimers.xml file into the /etc/enigma2/ directory. Then issue the "init 3" commad to reboot enigma.

ALWAYS and I do mean ALWAYS place enigma into sleep mode before editing or copying system files to or from your receiver as these files are very prone to corruption when handled while enigma is awake, this includes when you are sending or backing up bouquets with programs such as DBE otherwise you may find the changes do not register upon a reboot as enigma sometimes reloads the older settings from the cache ignoring the new ones you just sent to the receiver.
