    STB = VU Duo2 Openvix

I loaded bouquet from STB did some editing in E-Channelizer, then wrote it back to STB and now i have tune failed on all channels.

Is it writing back in a different format?

    At the bottom of

I have setting at bottom of E-channelizer

    Setting Version: ver E2 V4

    parental Control: None

    File format lamedb

It was initially set at this below when i first wrote it back, when it screwed up i changed it to the setting above but its still the same.

    Setting Version: ver E2 V5

    parental Control: Blacklist

    File format lamedb

Mine went off. Go to sports in bouquet, highlight bt sports hd 1, then yellow button (providers) your see bt sports alternatives. press menu and add it to bouquets and it should work.

However when i tried to alter in dreamset it would not show, so i just did an auto bouquetmaker scan anyway as i hadn't updated in a while, and now its all good.

Whenever i attached a 2tb or 750mb USB hardrive, it crashes the box and keeps going into a boot loop until i disconnect the USB drive, then it boots fine. I have tried it on two USB drives and the same thing happens. Also tried on rear and front usb ports.

Any ideas please, as i want to use the drive for recording.

    Thanks

I want to add a video link to my bouquets to make things easier so, I copied over a video to my server pc, I opened it in VLC and saved as m3u file, (Contents of file below)

    #EXTM3U

    #EXTINF:8441,Calming Music Nature Sounds.mp4

    \\Lee-pc\d\Aquarium and nature sounds\Calming Music Nature Sounds.mp4

Then copied that file to var/volatile/temp on my stb

used m2b to convert it to add to my bouquet. It shows up in the list, but there is nothing showing when i press it. I tried the conversion in m2b on all options, but still would not work.

    Any ideas please?

    thanks

I got as far as this, does it need to be linked to a player on the vu stb? to enable playback of the video file?

Thanks. I don't need vmtv, (i already have all the tv packages i want) i have their broadband, but they sent me this tv deal and a phone deal, for less than what i was already paying for just cable. Checked my account and its full house tv. I'll cancel when the 12mths are up.

They gave me free weekend calls etc, but not a phone number. which i don't need anyway, as we all use mobiles, and don't want a land-line.

Mum lives up the road, so i'll set it up for her.

VM sent me a Tivo box, and 12mths free VMtv, can i put this card into the Vu+ Duo2? as i don't want the tivo stuck under the tv as well as the VU

If you have a look you might find there is actually no card present in the tivo box anyway making cs impossible.

Oh right, its up in the loft, never even opened the box. So how can i get it to work on the Duo2? if not possible, if i give it to my mum, will it work at her house, she has vm broadband.

That means he will have to do this after every time AB 28.2 runs.

yes, but i only run it every few months, or when there is a channel change. I save my bouquet, then copy over only the channel changes, and then copy the bouquet back. basically i have two copies of dreamset open, one with the saved bouquet and the new bouquet, and copy over the new channel to my saved one, and copy it back to the box, can be a bit long winded i know.

everything i stream over the network to the box, suffers from horrendous buffering. I noticed in the "about on the vu duo2 box"

Network Interface: eth0 (Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet)
    Link Speed: 100 MBit/s

Shouldn't the link speed match and be 1gig as well?

I have vm cable with 200mb/s are these setting ok, seems a bit low, but i thought the pc should do the encoding anyway.

what r you using crossepg or epgimport etc etc?

When i update my epg it doesn't show the progress bar on the tv, it used to, but i updated and don't know how to get it back

    thanks

Ok, decided to bite the bullet and update. I remember reading that it was better to update from usb and not online, depending what version you are on. is it safe to update online with my version (below) I vaguely remember seeing somewhere some version cant be updated online?

I want to keep my setting, ie my lines in cccam and mgcam will it save this in the backup?
Will it save it on the internal HD, and once updated, just go to backup and restore settings?
