hey Dude its a very subjective Question as everyone has a different view, So in my opinion a mid range LG smart tv seem pretty good value ! I bought a 42/43 inch Q series for Around £260 last year and it has a sat tuner, does freesat and motorised - has 4k HDR alongside T2 tuner and supports all the smart apps that are currently popular.

I have seen a few Android tv's i think the latest top end LGs might use Android im certain all the sonys' now use Android.

I noticed that LG have also teamed up with Apple to deliver apple tv direct to the set and incorporate other products in the apple range for those of that persuasion.

I also noticed the Bang and Olufsen tvs use LG screens from the top end LG range.

Another thing i noticed about LG is they have teamed up with Technics to deliver a sound package option on the high end Range so they're definitely trying and developing the Tv side of there business.

I see alot of samsung tvs with power faults but that could just be an anomaly due to how many there are as they have been the no1 selling tv in the uk for a while.

On a technical issue i think samsung are pursuing QLED where as others are Using OLED.

if you want live feed info there is some french site that purveys an updated live feeds look for "satelliteweb" in google ¬

Those guys using dvb cards in Pc's with Bande C and KA with extremely LOW symbol rates ect !

For feeds they have many answered to enquiring data ¬
    :puff:

Nice Question ! I tried Unicable with motorised system on vu duo but had no option in tuner for that LNB type when set to motorised in tuner config under Open pli ¬ It does have option for fixed dish which it works with ! I didn't try it for sometime now i will play again.

    Hello Naja,

sometimes i look at thjis position for feeds out of USA ! But it is not stationary by which i mean it is termed inclined by upto 2.6 degrees

Satellite stationkeeping box and inclined orbit satellite

From the diagram above the satellite must remain 0.15 deg for it to appear stationary to the dish face.

That is why the satellite is used mainly for temporary feeds which of course can be of interest to enthusiastic hunters !

The full page explains all very nicely in English is linked below.

    http://www.satsig.net/satellite/inclined-orbit-operation.htm

I noticed on king of sat you can track the inclination live to work out when the best window for reception is available and open !

I hope this can steer you in the right direction ! Happy feed hunting.

Thank you Codar ! I have ticked that box now but got same start up error .

I basically setup a ubuntu server with smargo nextto my old debian 6 with omnikey ¬
Take card from omnikey and put into smartreader ! All oscam configs the same or there abouts and it fails to read card.

Perhaps its the smartreader ! ?

My existing machine has been going for so long its time to retire it,joint10
Above is the live log when i start oscam using a smart-reader ?
Can anyone offer some pointers please .:rikjaard1:

surely there wouldn't be a drop from 57% to near 0% just by connecting it to the switch???

    bb69

If it happens its true ¬
Diseq switch does occur signal loss ! My opinion is you should first connect direct to hotbird lnb and tweak for better signal before trying again ?
A small amount of movement can make a big difference.

Which dish and LNB set up are you using ?
    :stoned:

    :rikjaard2:

put TS Panel or Linuxsat-support panel onto your box and look through for key updater plugin ! Everything you need can be found there and downloaded. Works with oscam ymod for reading internal keys _ that could be your problem in the first place not just normal oscam :welcome3:

I dont think this is directly aimed at cs itll be the run up to 4k or sly Q

People forget that when technology changes sky will force change ! I remember when sly sports two was switched off in analogue days !
Like steve says 4k is the next big thing ! Sly need bandwidth to implement 4k premier league coverage for 2016v season ! remember they believe in "Better" lol so why have sd when your tv had an HDMI socket. Already recent transponder updateds have taken out old sd recievers recently that have legitimate subs forcingthem over to a free HD box ! The writings on the wall Folks ! Enjoy what we have ! Its always been the same ! One thing thatcant be stopped is iptv packegs from legitimate subs so its interesting to see what happens as always in any hobby ! :welcome3:

Who added my girlfriend as smilie ?

i use catseye settings ¬ then if something changes like frequency i will obtain the relevant data from lyngsat or satbeams or king of sat then scan that transponder ! The channels then appear in the a bouquet called "last scanned" at the bottom of the favourites list. Once i have the desired channels in the last scanned section i the use Dreambox edit to move them to the position and delete the old one ! I'm almost certain there is a better way but thats what i do.
Mainly because i add feeds which aren't included in the catseye settings ¬ But the same will apply for general channels

Hi, It might be a dumb question but is it possible to run mgcamd server on normal computers (Linux, windows, Raspberry Pi) with card readers attached? I am able to run Oscam on Linux with many (100+) but someone recommend me to use mgcamd.

    Thank you for your time,

Yes you can use a normal computer linux or windows and get much better ecm time with the correct card reader like omnikey,
Just to be sure i ask what CARD is your LOCAL :welcome:?
