    I do get the fact that a manufacturer may promise the world to its consumers..they would be stupid not to... however what you dont get is the actual need for the dual boot in the first place... and also the other fact they are trying to dupe you to buy thier product over other reputable companys.


    Its complicated nonsense as far as i can see, i,m sure in the future this dual boot will work but what the hell for... nobody has told me why its required now or in the future,,,also lets not loose sight of the fact we are talking about a satellite tv box here not space rockets... pick a side...e2 works fine.

    The box in question ( zgemmah9twin ) on this particular thread appears to report a linux operating system...?


    I have already asked this question but i will ask it again...why do you need linux and android on one box even if it worked?


    Its almost like someone is trying to reinvent the wheel...

    Dont know much about these boxes but i thought pretty much all enigma 2 boxes run on linux OS so it kinda makes sense that android os wont work on enigma 2 based recievers unless you have been advised otherwise, Android is based on linux but that does mean it will necessarily work.


    What is the Android side required for,......... just curious

    I,m a massive fan of VU+ boxes too...they always served me well.


    This new dreambox does look impressive tho... but i,m out :-)


    Thing is, we can use these boxes for many things like free recording/iptv etc but we mostly in my opinion relied upon this type of box for cardsharing/ open source server purposes in the past..


    So with the cardsharing benefit dwindling these boxes become a ridiculous and overpriced investment i think.


    There was hope added years ago with the belief these companys who build these boxes would always sort cardsharing...noop think again.


    Dont waste your money on these fancy boxes... its similar to the supercar world !!!

    I did not say that, all i am saying is providers change viewing cards, everybody knows that but not on a regular basis or to design an anti-cs method....


    Every 6 to 7 years sky uk swapped viewing cards and i believe this was just to make the said government happy changes were being made to keep up with smartcard security..


    Changed days now and i care not of sky germany anymore...its another cs that will adopt icam by the looks of things //thats my point....... not saying this new card is what this is tho because nobody really knows until the card has been fully released...
