Yes I agree with that, if someone else want's to carry on with it they are going to need their own repositories for downloading the player and it's dependencies from so why not rename the player to avoid confusion. Anyone at present having to reflash for whatever reason, then tries to install e2 iplayer from scratch is going to be going in circles as from what I can see all variants are still pointing at the now closed gitlab for dependencies.

Seems as though issue I had was not specific to the Formuler 1 and has been fixed with the latest updates for olm etc. The latest formuler 1 image which has made it's way into the general Pure2 image download section works perfectly and flashed first time from usb. Can't fault the image and thanks to all the team at Pure2 for making it possible on the Formuler1.

As mentioned in other thread finally have this installed and all 3 tuners are recognised with good signal quality on each. Channels scanned and all channels found and playing fine. Most of plugins I use such as autobouquets maker and epg importer also vpn plugin install and work well. The only problem so far is with the fnc plugins, when you find your stream and ask to play it fails with the message Error the media player2 with sub support is not installed please install it. Media player 2 is installed and is found when choosing to remove extensions, also can be found when using dream explorer and navigating to usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/mediaplayer2 as per screenshot

Have uninstalled rebooted and reinstalled media player 2 and rebooted again but still get same message as attached

Edit the problem exists on all of my receivers as of today, Olm displays same fault on edision os mega and zgemmah7s and also 123 movies blue screen crash complaining about subtitles (same issue as olm it appears. Plass seems ok.

Just to say have finally got Pure2 image on the Formuler1 despite flatly refusing to flash from any usb. I flashed open atv and then used the option to flash a local image having mounted and initialised a usb stick as hdd. Used filezilla and ftpd the zip file of pure2 to hdd and it flashed at first attempt. Will now carry on and have a play with everything.

May I ask ymz if he is indeed using a formuler 1 receiver or is he saying he is happy with a pure2 image but not necessarily the test one above and is in fact using a different receiver. I still can not get this to boot which has never happened in all my years of satellite receivers usage, some have been problematic but have always got there in the end. If indeed it is Formuler 1 this refers to details such as make model size of usb and tools used for formatting and any other info please ymz

I can see the difficulty involved with working blind and appreciate the team attempting what does not seem possible to me. It does appear to do something when attempting the flash as after the failed attempts whichever image that was on the formuler previously fails to boot. Then I need to reflash to another image to make box work again. Please convey my thanks to the team for trying to create an image for this little receiver. PS yes tried 2 usb sticks already and now on 3rd with same result

    Hi Gorski

Downloaded direct from test images on pure2 results as follows

In each case same usb stick used. Pure2 image is detected on usb stick and on pressing ok display changes to say flashing, usb stick light begins to flicker signifying activity, after approximately 3-4 minutes activity stops on usb stick and nothing further occurs display remains at flashing. Leave for 20 minutes and still the same. Then using same usb stick and formatting between each test succesfully flash open atv 6.2, open pli 7 and openix 5.2.040 in each case display is the same as pure2 test and usb stick flickers for 3-4 minutes before ceasing activity. The difference being after around 15 seconds of inactivity from light on usb stick, the display changes to say booting and the other 3 images continue to install wizard. After sucessfully flashing the other 3 images I tried again with the pure 2 image using the same usb stick that worked with other images and another so far unused stick both reached the 3-4 minute mark and failed to progress further. Hope this may be of use to you

I already asked they don't have the formuler 1 to build image, shame as it is a really good little receiver. I would happily try a blind build if Delfi would make one

In response to bumperbee I just sent the ipk file to var/volatile/tmp using filezilla then went to software management on receiver and used the option to install local extension and then told it where to find it ie memory/tmp. Once installed reboot and you should find it

Yes 1999gtv all 8 wires showing good and nothing new has been put in recently.

I’m thinking of rewiring a new cable which isn’t easy but worth a

As it works when you tried a new cable logically it has to be the currently installed cable which has a fault. Rather than rewiring a new one straight away it may be worth just remaking the connections on each end of your currently installed cable, if it works it's a bonus if not it looks like a few hours swearing and sweating is in order changing entire length

Which is perfectly understandable as it wouldn't be a private version for long, how long before the first stroppy demand from someone who thinks it is their right to have this and doesn't get the concept of private appears I wonder

Unless you are family or close friend of the developer you have no chance of getting the private version and any one who is in the select few is not going to allow it out in the wild.

    Thats me

You will have your inbox full of friend requests now you have said that, I mentioned a friend had got me a netflix sub for free once and suddenly had dozens of people wanting to have my babies in exchange for details

Is every one of the 6 wires showing as good ,if either of the 2 tx or 2 rx wires are even slightly iffy it will not transmit or receive properly also have any other wiring/ appliances been put in recently that could cause interference on the remaining 2 wires.

Depends on your budget really, I have 3 in use around the house a zgemma h7, edision osmega and formuler1. Best Value for money is the zgemma at moment, the other 2 are harder to obtain the osmega has been flawless since I bought it 2 years or more ago. Formuler 1 was cheapest but a cracking triple tuner receiver for £80 Zgemma is very fast and is triple tuner also takes an internal hdd being sold at the £120 mark new. There are plenty of others around though, work out what you need most for example for satellite or cable, does it need to take an internal hdd or is usb ok for you. I looked at loads before buying the zgemma including the vu+, gigablue and dreambox range and the deciding factors in the end were price I could buy 2 or 3 zgemma h7 boxes for price of only 1 of the others and also pure2 image (my fav) works with it. I was so dissapointed with wetek I had 2 play 1 and 1 play2 and got so fed up with promised fixes that never appeared and the sudden complete halt to updates I used them for target practice using the air rifle. The idea of one box which could do satellite and run prime, netflix etc was the reason for buying the wetek but the reality was too many flaws. Have a look on this forum there is a section devoted to picons both srp and snp with download links

The channel list crash has been happening since mid 2017 I believe and last I looked late 2018 had still not been fixed and unlikely to happen going by my own experiences of wetek fixes. Mine used to work 1 out of 5 approximately and that was on the satellite version the cable/terrestial users had even bigger problems. Picons need to be service reference from memory and I used to download from other sites. Buy something else and save yourself major headaches. All of the enigma2 receivers I use run rings round the wetek
