gorski on a light note English came on a boat here, a newb might misunderstand your last statement and start to install every package in the repository, and not every package that he requires, to be sourced from pure2 repository or specifically FNC plugins

well, pure2 team could perhaps have a situation where it checks for user scripts at a custom location eg hdd, then have them executed at first boot if for instance the scripts are named in a particular way to avoid them being executed at every boot. While other scripts therein can continue to be operated as currently setup.

This I say would be an awesome tweak to existing setup

Zgemma H7s is not mips based it uses same packages as Zgemma h92h arm processor, i also own your box but i sent it a a friend Giggzhawker under lockdown after his zgemma h9combo died on him.

I had similar problems where it was working on 10.8 and not 10.9, then I choose the openssl binary and replaced it in /usr/bin/cam then it worked. Try that version, also start scripts of pure2 point to a different config folder in etc vs usual /etc/tuxbox/config check your start script in /usr/script*/cam. Open in notepad edit appropriately.

Kihmathi, which image did you use to flash your H7 from USB stick exactly? Normal, 4 partitions or the special 2 partition image v. 6.3?

Panda555 - the same here with E2iStream in 6.3. 6.4 has it in feeds? For another box, with v. 6.5, it's not yet in feeds. E2iPlayer also can't be updated but not sure why. Must ask the dev in charge of it... :)

    Normal 4 partitions image

@ Kihmathi - it is generally polite to answer a question... You asked a Q, I answered and asked you a Q back in post no. 494...

    So...???

Sorry about that, am currently on pure2 6.4 however i believe i used pure2 6.3 for fresh flash from usb, thereafter i always do an online flash to second partition at which point i switch to pure2 6.4 on second slot, first slot i then overwrite with openspa. those are the only two images i use.

Reason for installing pure2 on 2nd slot is that it gains lots of space or lets say the remainig enitre unsed space is available for pure2, due to the many good fnc plugins on first partition i tend to find myself almost utilizing the small partition

waiting for the results, I also had same issues on the sat, I will also try to move my dish and try

With the new partitioning scheme for zgemma h7, the 4 partition image to me is really a two partition image, the first partition is around 1 gb, then the others share the other partition, it's like they just create a mount point and assign it as a second, third and fourth partition, i can tell this by looking at the space available and how its used up as you install stuff to other partitions.

Well telnet init 4 and copying over my channel list is generally how I do it then init 3 but I find 76.5, 68.5 and 57e greyed out, so as a routine I at times also copy over the XML file overwriting what's there, by the way this only happens to me in pure2 in others I don't have that problem, i.e openatv, openpli, openspa etc which start with a blank channel list though openatv 6.2 starts with the same channel list but all satellites are configurable out of the box, in 6.3 openatv kicked out the custom channel list

abu ok I have downloaded latest image and can see by extracting rootfs that /usr/share is a symlink to /etc/tuxbox so am wrong, however /etc/enigma2 doesn't have the file or channels that exists once first setup is done, my guess is whatever dumps the custom German channels also dumps the offending satellite.xml in that folder, I will do a fresh install later and give feedback

abu baniaz kindly do check, the one in /etc/tuxbox is not the same as the one in /usr/share which is the full and probably latest version, initially to overcome this small annoyance I would copy it over from there to /etc/tuxbox and /etc/enigma2. That was before I discovered XML update in feeds.

The one that ships in tuxbox misses several cband satellite 76.5e, 68.5e and 57e, while 7w and 8w are presented old SATs that have long been updated.

Actually I discovered that when you do an online update sometimes the updates overwrite satellite.xml in etc and etc/tuxbox folder with a custom version that results in users in regions not captured in the custom xml having greyed out channels.

I would suggest that the two files in etc be pulled by the same feed that has the one in use/share. Indeed it's even so the first time you boot a fresh image, I have resorted to downloading latest XML file using XML update in the feeds

gorski request the developers to maintain or ship the full satellite.xml file in /etc/tuxbox and /etc/enigma2 folders, for the preconfigured channels it's understandable the target market but a virgin XML won't affect the preconfigured channels for your target market
