    Vu Duo
    Vix 2.2.109

Hi all, wanted to see if this is common. Whilst play with the remote it crash, no biggie i thought, as it happens. Hard reset and all should be fine, wrong.

Once i switched it back on a notice that it was taking along time to start up, with starting... on the display, then finally said Vu Duo, video output existed for a moment, then it shut down immediately. Happening all the time.

So i had No choice but to re-flash. happy to say all is back to normal.

Hi all. i was very interested in recent apps to help with dish alignment, signal strength..something that could run on a laptop for convenience. None of then seem to work on VU+Duo. gutted.

Well i found Enigmanoid, It's an android app that's working flawlessly on my Desire HD, really cool. One of the options in Enigmanoid is Satfinder, which is a signal meter.

Needless my search is over, it's all i could want.

I get the same occasional glitches, means it's crashed, it may still be showing the last channel, but the functions have froze.

Reboot does clear it for me.

Did it turn it's self on. Haven't had that.

Great review, fantastic read. Excellent way to start a bench test. Love you liunx TV.

I've recently bought two Vu+Duo. Got them at a good price. For the same money or less i could of got a Vu+Uno.

Features i miss or maybe not.

More powerful CPU Broadcom BM7413 (does sound a bit faster then a duo, not much. The ultimo has an impressive CPU)

More Ram (512 MB) (Oh Yes, i would like more ram, the Duo's maxed out)

Plug and Play tuner DVB-S2 tuner or DVB-C/T hybrid (not bothered about this, seems a bit pointless)

Option to fit Internal SATA HDD 2.5″ or 3.5″ (really Good idea, wish i could use a 2.5"HDD)

I'm very happy with my Duo's. I'm a twin tuner kinda guy. I would recommend the Uno to friends rather than the Duo. In fact i'll tell my neighbor to get a Uno, Single Tuner is all he needs.

Ive seen a YouTube Video of PIP and it looks and works in the same way as the duo. didn't notice any improvement.

For me a good test of a tuner is it's ability to boot up quick and have a flawless PIP, To me this proves that the hardware is superior.

I've tried to rename it as oscam.build and tried it with out renaming. It always shows up in softcam manager regardless of name, but it can't start. It's fine when you call it oscam. can't remember if it activates on start up, maybe not.

Not to bothered, I'll work on it.

Hi All, Very interesting. I've been trying to install different Oscam builds on my Vu duo with Vix 2.2.1, which has a pre installed oscam, something like 5507. Displayed as oscam.5507 in softcam manager.

I understand to get the latest Oscam mips build and ftp to usr/softcam and i have to rename it to oscam

Why does it have to be renamed. I would like to call it oscam."build"

    Thanks
