Will be quick when its back, there will still be teething problems for the first few days that will be worked through.

Seems like your dish is no longer aligned correctly made winds knocked it out.

You can try this in you usuals settings.

On the longitude value ad 0.5 degrees so if your setting is 1.5 alter it to 2.0 if that does not help alter it to 1.0 remember if you have a minus value that will be a west setting.

I encountered a problem trying initializing a usb stick with this image: openpli-enigma2-7.2-dm800-gstreamer

    It says, see picture.

Could be the drive has a hidden partition it does not like.

Instead of Initialising format to fat32 on a PC and then just mount the drive on the 800.

Or better still use Minitool Partition Wizard on your PC delete all partitions format fat32 or extension 4 and then just mount it.

    Try this first

Press the blue button then scroll down to harddisk on the left hand panel then scroll right to initialisation and follow the on screen instructions.

Tell us if it see the HDD and if any errors are reported when you try to Initialise

Why devalopers stop working on old boxes. specially Dm500S and DM800HD

The clone factories got shut down, they dont develop when they are not selling. Original boxes well times move on and Dream want to sell new model not waste time on old ones.

You can get Japher sims for these boxes and images are been developed for that sim.

You don't mention if you used dreamUP or optiflasher just your trying to flash via IP that will not recover any bad sectors.

Either follow MasterG's advice or use dreamup.

Also try a small image smaller the better, that can cure this problem allowing you to then flash any image.

Try just a standard reflash first if it wont flash read on, no video guide.

Two guides nicked from elsewhere for the combo but same method bar files.

    8) On the next screen you'll then select the zip file that's on your USB stick that you'd like to flash and press OK on the remote.

    9) You'll now select which slot you'd like to flash your image to. Remember which slot you are currently booting from and have setup. Flashing to that slot
WILL REFLASH that slot, you will loose everything you have setup in that slot. We have setup OpenViX in Slot 1, for this guide we are re-flashing OpenViX in slot 1, OpenATV 6.2 is in slot 2 and we have OpenPLi already flashed to slot 3. Select Slot 1 and press ok on the remote.

Guide how USB flash the Zgemma H9 Combo multiboot recovery menu.

Note the recovery menu does not need to be re-flashed unless you have an issue or theres an update. Recovery zip files are released with every image build, but please note you DO NOT have to re-flash or update the recovery menu unless needed.

At the time of writing this guide re-flashing the recovery menu is not removing or affecting the installed images. Note this could change in a future update cause you to loose of the images you have installed and setup.

Zgemma H9 Combo purchased from World-of-Satellite.co.uk will have the latest Multiboot recovery menu pre-flashed at time of purchasing. The current latest revision is bootmenu r245.

    1) Download latest recovery menu from OpenViX, OpenATV or wherever you wish to download from. Can be download from OpenViX downloads HERE. At time of writing this guide latest zip release is 'openvix-5.2.043.release-zgemmah9combo_recovery_emmc.zip', again you DO NOT have to re-flash or update this Multiboot recovery menu with every release.

    2) Unzip the file to your desktop. You will have the following files:

    'h9combo' directory

    recovery_zgemmah9combo_lies.mich

    recovery_zgemmah9combo_READ.me

    bootargs.bin

    fastboot.bin

    3) Format a USB stick MAX 8GB FAT32.

    4) Copy all the files and 'h9combo' folder to root of USB stick.

    5) Power off the Zgemma H9 Combo.

    6) Connect USB stick to front USB 2.0 port, behind front flap.

    7) Press rear RESET reset button.

    8) Power on whilst holding down reset button. Keep holding down the RESET button until FLSH appears on front display.

    9) Be paitient, once successful the Zgemma H9 Combo will reboot into the recovery menu.

    10) You'll see various options, to not go off topic simply select 'Boot 1. LINUX_1' to boot into the image installed into slot 1. Screen will look similar as below, note you can see the revision number bottom left corner.

Power down the box with the switch at the rear or at the plug.

Press and hold the power button on the remote down and at the same time turn the power back on at the switch.

This should get you into recovery mode you may have to try the above a few times.

Dear Compo i' ve also tried this one (openpli-7.2-dm800-sim e-star-ssl84-20191226)with no luck, the same issue,it keeps booting all the time,i really don't know...thank you very much, any help highly appreciated!

I would try another power supply before panicking, when the image boots so far the tuner tries to take the power it needs, if the psu is faulty it will cause it to keep boot looping.

And also make sure the tuner is push home in its slot properly
