    Since doing an online update from OpenBH 3.4.002 to 3.4.020 Samba will no longer start. Is there a solution?

    Since Santa was so good to me this year (Duo 4K) I can sell my trusty GENUINE Vu+ Solo2 with internal 500GB HDD. It is in immaculate condition, and is sold along with the original remote, power supply and UK adapter. I was planning to sell it on fleebay, but will offer it to the community here first.

    It can be yours (including delivery to mainland UK - or NI providing I can add any extra delivery cost) for £110 - or very close offer.

    I installed (by copy) the 2.3.8 version - everything works EXCEPT 19E Germany (which was why I was doing it). My question is whether as a shrae this is all I need do, or do I need to ensure that my share supplier has also done some upgrade?

    Not sure that #483 is relevant to my issue? Oscam 11439 was installed via an ipk file, previous version was deleted via green>yellow>uninstall. Unless I missed something along the way.

    Edit: it would appear that the previous version never properly uninstalled. What is the complete set of files to delete so that I can install 11439 via ipk?

    SORTED. Managed to manually remove old version and install via ipk - all channels now showing.

    Thanks for that, however those lines already exist in my SoftCam.Key file - but with later keys (updated this afternoon). My issue is that all keys exist, all are the same, but two channels don't open (Family - P1006C, and Prime Atlantic - P10066) altho both have valid entries in SoftCam.Key with values identical to the other AFN channels. Beneath is what the Oscam log is saying.

    log.txt

    I have just updated to 11439 - AFN working, however there is still no AFN Family or Atlantic Prime. How do I recover these two channels?

    (Vu+Solo2, OpenBH 4.2)

    Mine works fine on all AFN channels except AFN!Family and AFN!Prime Atlantic (0066 & 006c) although both are updated in SoftCam.Key to exactly the same keys as the other AFN channels???

    I don't think the key is the issue, I have copied the working keys into SoftCam.Key, but I'm not sure reader is correctly looking for it. There is a reader in the server file that contains:

    label = constant.cw

    protocol = constcw

    device = /usr/keys/constant.cw

    services = !afn

    caid = 2600

    group = 1

    However, /user/keys contains no files and everything is in /etc/tuxbox/config. So I suspect this reader needs to be redirected and maybe even called SoftCam.Key??

    UPDATE: Sorted now.

    Managed to get AFN running on Vu+ Solo2 OpenBH 4.2 - but seem to have lost BISS channels! According to log it has "Demuxer 0 no suitable readers found that can be used for decoding!". Anyone else with same issue? and how to fix it - presumably in the oscam.server file, but I'm no expert.

    My motor died (see posting Aug15), so I have replaced it with an identical motor. However, I now cannot find 0.8W? I have scanned the area of sky that I know it is, the dish mount is unaltered and I have set the motor angle the same as before and varied it by +/- 5 degrees - but no signal. The motor will move, so I assume the connection from the receiver is OK. I have replaced the cable from the motor to the LNB - but still no signal. I have changed the tuner setup to single dish on 0.8W (receiver reports "Tuner fail") - still scan the sky with no luck. Seems a huge coincidence, but can the LNB have failed - if so is there any way of testing it (without having another one). System is OpenBH 4.2 on a Vu+ Solo2.

    Thanks for any help.

    Is my Dark motor (~ 10 years old) consigned to the tip and a new one needed - or is it recoverable? It has worked flawlessly for 10 years, but today it was pointing far east beyond any receivable sats. When using the buttons to request it to move west it moved but the display only had a single digit (usually 6 or 7), let go of the button and use the other button to go east and it moved continuously east - no way of stopping it!! It owes me nothing, so I could just buy another one, but it just may be a faulty reed switch, or something, that is replaceable.

    UPDATE: The LED digits are working correctly (after leaving power off for a time), but when using the button to manually return it to somewhere near 0 degrees the display is showing something like 60-odd degrees. So the positional counter needs resetting, and I need to solve the move-east-non-stop problem.

    Any ideas / suggestions. Thanks.

    When I leave my Solo2 (OpenBH 4.2) on AFN (altho I may not be watching it) and it freezes (presumably due to ecm change) I have enormous difficulty getting it back. not only does AFN not decode, but my cline channels no longer clear, which would indicate an oscam crash. Restarting Oscam is ridiculously hit and miss: BLUE button, reselect OSCAM and ENTER states that it is restarting the cam, but most times, nothing opens; switching to cccam immediately open clines, switching back to oscam (mostly) nothing opens; restart GUI and restart oscam (mostly) nothing opens!!

    It may take me up to a dozen cycles through the above until everything opens again. When OSCAM is not clearing channels its because it has not properly restarted (as confirmed by the oscam webif responding with "connection denied".

    Am I the only one with this problem? Is there a solution? Or, how does everyone else get OSCAM to restart reliably?

    yes, sorry I mean picon. The picons I use are an old set I have had for some time, so not sure which "pack" I used. The picon folder (on my USB) just contains all the png files - including one for ITV HD. Maybe it's time for me to update my picon "pack"?
