ok, so after some vodka i decided to spark up one of the Amiko A3, also running oscam via webif.
on comparing the following files there were differences between the Amiko that was working v the wetek that wasnt
oscam.user
DVB-Api
oscam.DVB.Api
on copying the differences from the amiko versions to the wetek versions and a restart of oscam, all is good
obviously more to do with luck than skill

ive just acquired a wetek play 2, and was happily setting up, scanned channels and added picons etc
however im having major issues with the oscam element and hope someone can help
ive tried with both ostool, and oscam manager separate, entered my line details by webif ip:8888, however on entering the line either as cccam, or newcamd the reader will not connect, with status on the webif showing as either error or unknown.
ive a few Amiko A3 lying around that also use oscam via webif, and on entering the line on the amiko a3, all is ok
any advice appreciated

Hi, i've just bought a gigablue HD quad that has a solid red light on for silly money, so was worth the punt
i will try the USB method to load a boot-loader back onto the box, however is there a method using a null modem cable. as i've restored other manufactures boxes in the past using this method?

i use mrs buckets boquets download the latest version to a pen drive via a google search. put pen drive into the a3
then on the a3 as follows
settings
misc settings
database transform
inport E2 lamedb
follow the onscreen instructions, job done
