I think the main difference is that the tuner of the SF8008 is weak

now in our hands:dance:
the temperature of 58C is very high
that box has a fan ??
Nothing wrong with 58 deg, there's boxes out there that run much, much higher temps.
We've been testing the Mio 4K and it's a fast box. In all honesty hard to notice any speed difference between this and any other high spec new Generation 4K receiver.
Excellent sensitive S2X tuner for scanning.
Excellent quality Aluminium casing. Far better quality than many others on the market. Looks nice and good quality.
Excellent quality aluminium top remote. Can be programmed to power on TV and control TV volume.
Dual Core Broadcom ARM at 1.5 GHz processor, 8GB eMMC/RAM 2GB DDR4 2400Mhz flash memory. Just because its dual core its NOT slow in any way. Speed is comparable to boxes that cost £300-£400!

Hisilicon is a good chipset but have still a young development. The most annoying issue is the little lag when zaping (picture slow down). For me is the main problem compared with the others, so SF8008 maybe needs more perfect drivers than Os Mio 4k to give same performance.
-
Very good drivers in the Mio 4K, both HDR and HLG support.
-
Has someone tested multistream Abertis package with this receiver on Hispasat ?
-
Hisilicon Huawei Company, they have big potential, new yes, young yes, Octagon team reported the issue, and hisilicon has assured driver will be fixed soon.
Os mio dual core, 8008 quad core
Os mio 100mbit lan, 8008 gigabit lan
Os mio also no power switch on rear
8008 1gb and 8gb Flash , rootfs 8GB full free, 8008 full 8gb Flash rootfs usable
and Os mio 40-50 euro expensive than 8008

Exactly, Hardware wise Mio 4k is excellent since it has double the RAM in SF80084 and zapping looks flawless in Mio 4k. The SF8008 on the other hand has exclusive support for the Abertis package on Hispasat with a much better price but the zapping in it is just too annoying.

now about the osmio...
the receiver is the first ever e2 receiver in 64bit (and for the moment the only one).
this means that there is needed more time to emulate 32 bit plugins and scripts (multilib) , or produce new ones direct for the receiver,if it is possible.
here is the script for abertis. rename it to abertis, and follow the instructions (and use all the other files) as you do in any other receiver...
-
The first 64-bit receiver with e2 was Amiko A5, but the performance of OS Mio 4k is higher.
-
On other sites, users say some freezing on 5 west , multistream.
is it possible?
software bugs?
Regards
Pierangelo
-
with SatDreamGR image on the box I have no such problems on 5 west

yes you are right...
the reason that i didn't noticed that, was that the "master" software was android, and i didn't heard any feedback about enigma...
