  • Hi. I am trying to restart OScam from a bash script. I dont want to autodetect crashes or anything else fancy. At the command prompt I can run...

    Code
    sudo service oscam restart

And it restarts. But putting this command in my script just closes/crashes it.

Anyone know how I can restart it properly from a bash script?

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • How do you start oscam in the first place?

  • It starts automatically on boot

There are many ways to start thing "automaticaly" how do you do it? Sysv, Upstart or systemd scripts? maybe by a CRON.

its impossible to make a automatic start script without knowing how YOU start it in first place.

it seems that you might have a start script running becouse of the command. can you located that script in

    /etc/init.d Or /etc/systemd
